Read My Story

Hello- I’m so happy you’re here! My name is Alyssa. I live in Long Beach, California with my husband, two cats, two dogs, and two boys. We recently moved back to the area after my husband left his career in the Army. Since moving back home, I love being outside as much as possible, traveling, reading, and binging too much Netflix.

My knowledge and experience in Family Life Education allows me to provide support to the whole family and to more comprehensively understand your individual situation and experience. I realize nothing occurs in a vacuum, and my specialized education allows me to see the whole picture instead of just one small piece. Parenting is the hardest job there is, and you deserve to have every tool available to you. My goal is to help foster a secure, joyful relationship from birth and beyond.

I know what it’s like to struggle with breastfeeding which is why I’m so passionate about helping parents reach their lactation goals. My first son was born premature. We had a NICU stay, tongue and lip ties, bottle preference, and so much more. I knew I wanted to breastfeed with my whole heart, but I felt so lost. There was conflicting information everywhere. I knew I wanted to make it better for others, so I started my education in lactation. We went on to breastfeed successfully, and I am now currently nursing my second baby.

I support all individuals and families of any gender, gender identity, race, health status, age, relationship status, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, or religion.

I am a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE-P), #1194579, through NCFR and a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), ALPP #333360, through The Healthy Children Project. My National Provider Identification (NPI) is #1831869072. I am currently pursuing the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant credential.
